The Lord spoke this to me as I was watching the trailer for a new film about to be released. This one phrase has resonated with me for days and days. I know that we are waiting for God's release. There is an expectation in the body of Christ that He is about to do something really big.

But it wasn't the “big” part that kept coming back to me. Indeed if anything, even the smallest thing that God does is big to me.

It was the word “prepare”, that kept going through my brain and how and what that looked like. This seemed to relate to the other words the Lord has given me over the past weeks.

First He was saying to me that the Body of Christ must die to self. Wow. That is a very big thing, but very necessary. When we die to self then God will be able to release those things that are waiting to be birthed in the spirit for this time.

The next thing He said was with great power comes great responsibility. We must know the responsibility we have to Him, to each other and to the rest of the world.

And thirdly, we are to prepare. I don't yet know what that looks like in it's fullness. But I do know that this is a time to not give up, to deal with what we need to deal with, to become more and more intimate with the King and to listen to how he wants us to prepare for the coming of His kingdom.
